PREPARING AN EMERGENCY KIT

Having an emergency kit available is important to ensure that you can be self sufficient in case of disaster. There is a chance that you may not be able to receive help for up to 72 hrs so having essential supplies could mean the difference between life and death.

The kit should be light enough that a child could carry it. If you have a large family and the kit is too heavy, then divide it up into smaller kits for each person.
