Preparing for a Hurricane while at Office

  • Depending on disaster's strength properly protect glass windows or doors by boarding it up. If you live in a high risk hurricane area consider shutter's installation.
  • If you got caught outdoors – find cover immediately.
  • When you're inside stay away from glass windows, doors and skylights.
  • The best place to stay in the house is by the main wall or in a corner – away from glass and falling objects.
  • Remember not to drive unless it's extremely needed.
  • Be aware of “hurricane eye”: it may seem that a storm has passed for a few minutes. However, it may shortly hit again even stronger than before.
